I met a good friend for lunch today. BTW your daughter is gorgeous.
She has a friend who went through recovery too. For substance abuse. Their philosophy during the process was to stop. Not quit. It’s only natural and normal that you will have a setback or as Mina calls it a struggle during recovery. By saying you are quitting and than “failing” it makes you feel like throwing in the towel. But if your mindset is that you are going to stop and you take a step back, you feel that you can now take two steps forward. Less expectations. Less pressure.
It makes sense.
I’m quitting quitting.
I’m going to stop my eating disorder.
